Extension of export curbs on petrol and diesel 

Petroleum export ban by the government of India, in order avail refine fuel to domestic market, As per the notification on sunday by the government. The report is here now.

As per the Restriction on the export of diesel and petrol, implemented last year(2022), by imposing a windfall tax on refined fuel exports.

The restriction on the export have been extended! As stated by the government in the notification on Sunday.
In order to ensure the availability of refined fuels for the domestic market. 

The curbs were originally supposed to be in place till the end of financial year 2023, which ended yesterday. With No mention of how long the extension would be in the latest notification. From march this year, the windfall tax on the export of diesel was cut to its lowest of Rs.0.50 per liter and NIL on jet fuel (ATF) while the levy on domestically produced crude oil was raised marginally.

It can be mentioned here that Indian companies are exportin to countries including those in Europe that have stopped buying refined products from Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine.
